The loss of the two children must have been a terrible torture, and then to watch your husband fall apart is something I can’t even imagine. Loss is such a difficult thing to overcome and the fact that Sharlene turned around and was suing them is absolutely disgusting. I can understand the thoughts that it may have been a curse. Obviously, anyone reading this will be heart broken by the events that happened to this family. A powerful emotional read, l look forward to reading more from the author.more Not to mention the restorative power of yoga! This is a story of personal loss for a family, but also societal loss at how the court system intervened. As a parent of three sons, I found Ms McInnes’s despair, at the sad events that befell her family, quite palpable, but also her determination to rebuild her life and look to the future. A p I challenge anyone, especially a parent, to read this book and not walk away with the profound sense of grief and hope for the future that the author conveys.
